Recruiting Mapo Families with Elementary School Children Until May 19
Participation Fee: 20,000 Won Per Person, Total of 30 Families to Be Selected
Mapo District (District Mayor Park Kangsoo) is recruiting participants for the "Mapo Umpparang Pulbit Camping" event until May 19, targeting families with elementary school children living in the district to celebrate Environment Month in June.
This camping event will be held from June 7 to 8 for one night and two days at the Noeul Camping Site in Mapo District, under the sub-theme "Our Family is Eco Hero!" It is designed as an ecological family program where the whole family can learn about and experience the environment together in nature.
The main programs include: ▲ "Pulbit Playground," where forest exploration and an eco sports day take place; ▲ "Pulbit Learning Center," where participants can enjoy environmental quizzes and a barter experience; ▲ "Pulbit Experience Center," where families can make cotton candy using bicycle power; ▲ and "Pulbit Sound Center," which features a small concert and magic show. These activities are designed so that both children and parents can enjoy them together.
The "2025 Mapo Umpparang Pulbit Camping" goes beyond a simple outdoor experience, with its core value being the enhancement of communication and emotional bonds within families. Through participation-centered programs, it naturally encourages eco-friendly practices in everyday life.
The event is open to families residing in Mapo District with elementary school children, and up to four people per family can apply.
The participation fee is 20,000 won per person.
Applications can be submitted online via the Mapo District Office website or by scanning the QR code on the event poster (using Naver Form). Applicants should also include their motivation and personal story when applying.
A total of 30 families will be selected. Of these, five families will be given priority based on a review of their motivation and story, while the remaining 25 families will be chosen by lottery. The final selection results will be individually notified on May 23.
For more details about the program, please refer to the Mapo District Office website or contact the Mapo District Clean Environment Division.
Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I hope that through this 'Mapo Umpparang Pulbit Camping,' parents and children will have a joyful time directly experiencing and learning the importance of the environment together. We will continue to organize such programs for families to participate in together, establishing this as a unique environmental education event in Mapo."
