High Engagement from Parents and Students with Invited Professors
Gijang County in Busan announced on May 13 that the College Entrance Briefing and Parent Special Lecture held recently at the main auditorium of the Gijang County Youth Training Center concluded successfully.
This event, organized by the Gijang County Career Education Support Center, took place on May 10. Approximately 150 local parents and middle and high school students attended, demonstrating high interest. The event was designed to help participants respond to the changing college entrance system and to provide an opportunity to concretely plan their children's career paths and college admission strategies.
In the first part of the lecture, Professor Jung Haejin, an EBS standardized psychological test specialist consultant, delivered practical information on customized college entrance strategies for third-year high school students and methods for developing students' career paths under the theme of "Career and College Admission." In the second part, Park Sangdo, head of the SD College Entrance Strategy Research Institute, gave a special lecture presenting preparation strategies for this year's college admission process.
A parent who participated in the event said, "It was a much-needed time to plan my child's future," adding, "It was beneficial not only to receive information about college admission strategies but also to share concerns about career paths."
County Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "I hope this briefing will help alleviate parents' anxiety about the college entrance process and provide practical support for students in planning their careers," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that students and parents can calmly prepare for the future through customized education support programs."
Gijang County operates a one-on-one customized career and college admission consulting service and provides students with various educational opportunities through the "Gijang County Scholarship Program," which is held every spring and fall.
