Damyang County in South Jeolla Province held the inauguration ceremony for the "2nd Innovation Junior Board" on the 13th at the Myeonangjeong Room in the county office, attended by County Governor Jeong Cheolwon and over 40 young public officials.

The "Innovation Junior Board" is an internal innovation group composed of public officials with less than seven years of service. Its role is to independently discover and propose ideas aimed at improving work efficiency, strengthening interdepartmental collaboration, and enhancing organizational culture. The event included sharing the results of the 1st board’s activities, an explanation of the operational direction for the 2nd board, and team meetings.

This 2nd board consists of a total of 40 members across eight teams. Until November, they will conduct team-based research activities under the theme "Making Damyang Beautiful," covering various areas of daily administration such as landscaping, nightscapes, and the environment. Outstanding proposals will undergo internal review and will be actively considered for actual implementation in county administration.

Governor Jeong stated, "The Innovation Junior Board is the starting point for change that brings new energy to county administration," and added, "We will provide full support so that the creative proposals of young public officials can lead to tangible policy changes."

Meanwhile, through the activities of the 1st board last year, the county achieved improvements such as the introduction of a mentor-mentee system for new public officials, streamlining of reports, and the operation of an online data room, thereby establishing a foundation for internal innovation.
