The Ulleung County Health Medical Center in North Gyeongsang Province will conduct the 2025 Community Health Survey from May 16 to July 31, as part of a nationwide initiative organized by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and involving 258 public health centers across the country.
This survey, conducted annually as a nationally approved statistical survey under Article 4 (Community Health Status Survey) of the Community Health Act, will target approximately 800 to 900 adults aged 19 and older who have been selected as a sample in Ulleung County. Investigators will collect health-related information through one-on-one, in-person interviews using tablet PCs.
The main survey topics include: ▲ health behaviors such as smoking, drinking, dietary habits, and physical activity; ▲ prevalence of major chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes; ▲ mental health status; and ▲ household characteristics. The survey consists of 19 domains, 169 questions, and 135 output indicators in total.
The results of the survey will be systematically used to assess the health status of Ulleung County residents and will serve as foundational data for establishing health promotion policies and implementing public health projects tailored to the region's characteristics.
Kim Youngheon, Director of the Ulleung County Health Medical Center, stated, "We ask for the active participation and cooperation of the selected households to ensure the production of accurate and reliable statistics," and added, "Your responses will become a valuable foundation for building a healthier future for the residents of Ulleung County."
