On this day, around 30 volunteers, including Shinhan Financial Group’s management and Jung Wono, Mayor of Seongdong District, visited the homes of elderly single-person households in Seongdong District and delivered approximately 330 sets of daily necessities that they had prepared themselves. Earlier, the participants assembled the daily necessities sets, which included summer blankets, hand exercisers, and nourishing Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup).

Chairman Jin stated, “Although it is a small gesture, I hope today’s volunteer activity provided comfort and strength to the elderly who are facing emotional and financial difficulties,” and added, “We will continue to share warmth with our neighbors in the community and foster a sustainable culture of giving.”

Meanwhile, Shinhan Financial Group has selected its fifth ‘Leading by Example Relay’ campaign to support recovery efforts for wildfire damage and the field activities of firefighting heroes. Employees directly participate in every stage, from proposing ideas to fundraising and volunteering. For this campaign, the group raised approximately 250 million won in donations and plans to engage in volunteer activities to help restore damaged forests.
