Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on May 13 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with E-Circulation Governance to promote the recycling of waste electronic products.
Under this agreement, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical will transfer waste electronic products generated within the company to E-Circulation Governance and plans to expand guidance and participation among its employees regarding the collection and recycling system. Through these efforts, the company aims to strengthen its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and establish resource circulation practices as part of its corporate culture.
E-Circulation Governance is responsible for the safe handling and eco-friendly recycling of waste electronic products, and provides certificates such as 'Greenhouse Gas Reduction Certificate' and 'Circular Resource Production Confirmation' based on collection and recycling performance. Profits generated during the recycling process are used for public interest purposes, including support for vulnerable groups.
A Kwangdong Pharmaceutical representative stated, "Through this agreement, we will continue to practice resource circulation together with our employees," adding, "We will work to spread environmental awareness throughout our organizational culture so that eco-friendly practices become established both at work and in daily life."
Meanwhile, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical recently conducted an 'in-house eco-friendly campaign' for its employees. In addition, the company has carried out various eco-friendly initiatives, including hosting the 'Gasan Environmental Love Children's Art Contest,' obtaining the international standard 'ISO 14001' environmental management system certification, and signing a food upcycling agreement.
