Hyundai Home Shopping to Host Park Golf Tournament in Jeju with Total Prize Money of 80 Million Won

Hyundai Home Shopping announced on May 13 that it will host the "2025 Hyundai Home Shopping Jeju Special Self-Governing Province National Park Golf Tournament" in partnership with Jeju Provincial Government at the Hwachon Park Golf Course in Jeju from June 14 to 16.

This marks the first time in the retail industry that a company is joining hands with a local government to organize a park golf tournament. The company explained that its aim is to promote a healthy leisure culture among customers by providing a sporting event that has recently gained popularity among people in their 50s and 60s, and to contribute to revitalizing local tourism.

This tournament is open to all members of the Korea Park Golf Association. A total of 1,200 players will be selected from 17 cities and provinces nationwide. Applications can be submitted by email to the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Park Golf Association until early next month.

Participants will compete in qualifying rounds on June 14 and 15, with the final round to determine the winner held on June 16. Actress Lee Hyesook, who has been appointed as the ambassador for the Hyundai Home Shopping Park Golf Tournament, will participate in the games and take part in promotional activities during the event.

The tournament will be divided into four categories: Men's General, Men's Senior (age 68 and above), Women's General, and Women's Senior (age 64 and above). The MVP will receive a prize of 10 million won and a green jacket valued at 5 million won, designed by fashion designer Lee Sangbong. Additionally, the first-place winners in each category (four in total) will receive 6 million won each, second-place winners (four in total) will receive 4 million won each, third-place winners (four in total) will receive 3 million won each, and there will also be hole-in-one prizes. The total prize pool amounts to 80 million won.

All participants will receive gifts such as golf umbrellas, sunscreen, multivitamins, and low-sugar candy. Prizes will also be awarded by lottery, including one Ceragem V9, one LG TV, two LG dehumidifiers, and five foot massagers.
