Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group Spreads Warmth to Local Seniors
On May 8, the Dalseo Senior Welfare Center in Daegu held the "Day of Sharing Love Noodles & Boiled Pork" event to celebrate the 53rd Parents' Day. Through the warm support of the Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group, the event delivered gratitude and respect to approximately 1,200 local seniors, creating a heartwarming and moving atmosphere.
Dalseo Senior Welfare Center held the "Day of Sharing Love Noodles & Boiled Pork" event to celebrate the 53rd Parents' Day, with warm sharing from the Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group.
The Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group, comprised of members who run restaurants in Dalseo District and volunteers from partner organizations, has consistently provided free meals for local residents every month for two consecutive years, even amid challenging economic conditions.
In particular, to mark Parents' Day, the group served carefully prepared warm noodles and generous portions of boiled pork, wishing for the health and longevity of the seniors, which added further meaning to the event.
Kim Jinhong, Director of the Dalseo Senior Welfare Center, said, "We organized this free meal to express our gratitude and respect to the local seniors on Parents' Day," adding, "We will continue to work with the Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group to provide ongoing warmth and support to our seniors."
The Dalseo Senior Welfare Center and the Dalseo Food and Love Volunteer Group plan to continue delivering ongoing care and love to local seniors through a variety of support activities, not only with this special Parents' Day meal but also in the future.
