The Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Koo Jongcheon) announced on May 12 that it will begin recruiting new 'Hwasun County Private Tourist Information Centers' this year to strengthen the local tourism information system.
This initiative aims to provide tourists with a wider range of tourism information and to establish a tourism governance system centered on local residents.
Eligible applicants include any business within Hwasun County capable of providing tourism information and accommodating visitors for a certain period of time, such as cafes, restaurants, accommodations, and cultural spaces.
The selected private tourist information centers will operate for about seven months, from May 26 to December 31, and will be responsible for placing tourism promotional materials, supporting tourist information services, and promoting through the installation of official signs and display stands.
The foundation plans to select a total of about 10 private tourist information centers through this recruitment, and additionally recruit five more locations with high foot traffic.
Application details can be found on the Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation website. The final selection will be made following document submission and an internal review process.
Koo Jongcheon, CEO of the Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "This recruitment of private tourist information centers is an important step toward building a tourism system together with local residents," adding, "We expect that active participation from local businesses will not only provide customized information to tourists but also make a significant contribution to revitalizing the local economy."
