Kim Youngrok: "Presidential Election Is a Contest Between Forces Defending Constitutional Government and Vested Interests" Kim Youngrok Jeonnam Governor

Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, stated that the upcoming presidential election will be a contest between the forces defending constitutional government and the entrenched vested interests.

On May 12, through his Facebook page, Governor Kim wrote, "The 21st presidential election has officially begun," adding, "Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung launched his campaign at Gwanghwamun, People Power Party candidate Kim Moonsu at Garak Market, and Reform New Party candidate Lee Joonseok at Yeosu Industrial Complex. I look forward to the success of all candidates and a constructive policy competition."

He continued, "This presidential election is an early election triggered by the impeachment and removal of a former president. The new administration will be launched without a transition committee. Therefore, we need a prepared president who possesses ability, experience, and a comprehensive vision for the future," he emphasized.

He went on to say, "During the illegal 12·3 emergency martial law and the impeachment crisis, the people clearly witnessed who led the spirit of the times. This election is a contest between the forces defending constitutional government and the entrenched vested interests. Now it is up to the people to decide," he declared.
