Singapore Airlines Enhances Mileage Benefits for New and Tiered Shinhan Cardholders

'Elite Silver' and 'Elite Gold' Status Based on Annual Spending
Up to 25% Discount Promotion on 12 Routes

Singapore Airlines announced on May 12 that it will enhance the benefits of the 'KrisFlyer The Best Shinhan Card' and launch a special promotion.

New cardholders will receive 15,000 KrisFlyer miles as a welcome gift. With this, members can accumulate up to 30,000 miles in the first year, which is equivalent to a one-way economy class ticket between Seoul and Singapore. In addition to existing partner companies, members can also earn additional miles when using domestic taxis or Starbucks.

By spending a certain amount, members can quickly achieve KrisFlyer Elite status. Those who spend 5 million won or more annually will be granted 'Elite Silver' status, while those who spend 20 million won or more will receive 'Elite Gold' status. These tiers are linked to Star Alliance partnership benefits. Elite Silver members enjoy a 25% tier bonus miles accrual, priority check-in and boarding, and extra baggage allowance. Elite Gold members can access the SilverKris Lounge and Star Alliance Gold Lounge for free (including one guest), use Gold Track security lanes, and receive an additional 20kg baggage allowance.

To celebrate the enhanced card benefits, Singapore Airlines is offering up to 25% fare discounts on 12 routes until May 28. Customers who pay with the card will receive an additional discount of up to 10% on Singapore routes. In addition, those who purchase Singapore Airlines or Scoot flights will receive extra cashback benefits on all routes. The cumulative spending tiers are as follows: ▲ 1 million won or more but less than 2 million won: 5% cashback (up to 75,000 won); ▲ 2 million won or more but less than 3 million won: 7% cashback (up to 175,000 won); ▲ 3 million won or more: 10% cashback (up to 500,000 won).

Singapore Airlines has also prepared a prize event for customers who register for the event by May 31 and spend 500,000 won or more with the card. Winners will receive two round-trip tickets to Singapore, a Resorts World Sentosa or Universal Studios package, and a Baedal Minjok gift certificate, among other prizes.
