Kim Heungkwon (photo), former First Vice Mayor of Seoul, has been elected as the new president of the Seoul City Alumni Association.
The Seoul City Alumni Association, a non-profit corporation, announced that at its 2025 regular general meeting held on April 29, Kim Heungkwon, who previously served as First Vice Mayor of Seoul and president of the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross, was elected as the 21st president. He succeeds Choi Changshik, whose term ends on May 10, 2025.
Kim Heungkwon's term as president will run for two years, from May 11, 2025, to May 10, 2027.
The Seoul City Alumni Association was founded in April 1986 and received approval as a non-profit corporation in July 1986. It is composed of retired public officials from Seoul and was established to promote friendship and welfare among its members and to contribute to the development of municipal administration.
