Gwangmyeong City to Support SMEs with Export Logistics and Marketing Expenses

Up to 5 Million Won in Annual Logistics Support for Manufacturing Companies
Up to 3.5 Million Won in Marketing Support for Knowledge Service Companies

Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on May 12 that it will provide support for export logistics costs and online export marketing expenses to help local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expand their overseas markets.
Gwangmyeong City to Support SMEs with Export Logistics and Marketing Expenses

The export logistics cost support program will cover 70% of logistics expenses, up to a maximum of 5 million won per year, based on this year's export performance. Eligible companies are local small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises whose export volume last year was less than 20 million dollars.

The online export marketing support program targets SMEs in the knowledge service industry and covers 70% to 100% of costs in three areas: purchasing overseas B2B accounts, overseas SNS marketing, and production of promotional materials in foreign languages. The maximum support per area is 3.5 million won.

Applications for the export logistics cost support program are open from May 12 to May 30, and for the online export marketing expense support program from May 26, both through the 'Gyeonggi Business Secretary' platform.

Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, "I hope this initiative will enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and serve as a driving force for their overseas market challenges," adding, "We will continue to actively support local companies so they can build global competitiveness."

Previously, Gwangmyeong City supported 16 companies with 147 cases through the export logistics cost support program and 13 companies with 14 cases through the online export marketing support program last year.
