Support Desk Set Up in General Civil Affairs Division on First Floor of County Office

Imsil County in North Jeolla Province announced on May 12 that it will operate a support desk to assist with the payment of comprehensive income tax and local income tax until June 2.

The county has set up the "2024 Comprehensive Income Tax and Individual Local Income Tax Filing Center" in the General Civil Affairs Division on the first floor of the county office.

This measure was implemented because May is the month each year when taxpayers must file and pay comprehensive income tax and individual local income tax, resulting in a sharp increase in visitors to the tax office over a short period and causing many taxpayers to experience difficulties with filing.

Accordingly, the county has established a temporary tax filing and payment location within the county office building to provide greater convenience.

General taxpayers with comprehensive income from the previous year must file and pay both individual local income tax and comprehensive income tax by June 2, while those subject to the sincere filing verification must file and pay by June 30.

To file, taxpayers can use the Son Tax mobile app or the National Tax Service's Hometax website to file their comprehensive income tax. Afterward, by clicking the individual local income tax filing button, they will be automatically connected to Wetax, allowing for a simple one-stop filing process.

Taxpayers who have received the "All-Filled Guidance Notice," which is sent to small business owners and includes pre-filled amounts for individual local income tax, can simply pay the amount to the virtual account listed in the notice, and this will be recognized as a completed filing.

In addition, due to revisions to the Local Tax Act, starting this year, if an individual's local income tax exceeds 1 million won, a two-month installment payment system will be implemented.

County Governor Shim Min stated, "On the final filing deadline, it may be difficult to file and pay smoothly, so we ask that you file and pay as early as possible. We will actively support taxpayers during the May individual local income tax filing and payment period to ensure their convenience."
