Business Achievements of 8.1 Billion KRW and 36 New Jobs in 2024
Continued Promotion of Digital Transformation in Traditional Industries and Advancement of Citizen-Centered Services
The 'Regional Digital Competency Support Project,' jointly promoted by Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Taeyeol), received an 'Excellent' rating in a government evaluation.
This achievement marks the second consecutive year that the project has been recognized for its performance.
This initiative is a national project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, implemented nationwide to establish regional digital industry strategies and promote digital transformation among businesses. Notably, starting this year, the project has been restructured from individual programs into an integrated support system, enabling comprehensive assistance throughout the entire business cycle?from establishing growth strategies and enhancing product competitiveness to discovering new business models.
In 2024, the agency achieved over 8.1 billion KRW in business outcomes through commercialization support focused on three main projects, recorded an average sales increase of 36%, and created a total of 36 new jobs. Among these, DeliverBird Korea was recognized for its achievements in job creation and was selected as a '2024 Korea Top Job-Creating Company.'
This year, the project has expanded to include a new initiative by TwoHands Interactive: the 'AI·Biometric Signal Convergence Augmented Reality Exercise Platform Advancement' project. With this addition, the project now focuses on four main initiatives. This project aims to develop a non-face-to-face, customized exercise service by integrating AI, biometric signal analysis, and augmented reality technologies, and is expected to expand the home healthcare market and strengthen regional technological competitiveness.
An official from Busan Metropolitan City stated, "Tailored regional support for the advancement of digital-based industries is yielding tangible results," and added, "We will actively support corporate innovation and the discovery of new industries."
