RaonSecure is set to establish an animal authentication infrastructure by utilizing its blockchain-based digital ID platform, "OmniOne Digital ID," to provide digital identity verification and certificate issuance services for companion animals.

On May 12, RaonSecure, an IT security and authentication platform company led by Soonhyung Lee and Jeonga Lee, announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the "Digital Identity Verification and Certification Issuance Business for Companion Animals" with Wooyeon Company, a pet tech firm headed by Myungkyun Seo and Minchang Sung, at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.

Wooyeon Company is a leading domestic pet tech company that offers authentication and data-driven services for companion animals. It has established an infrastructure called "Dr. Clooney," which covers registration, authentication, and utilization of companion animal identities. Currently, the company is expanding its companion animal-related services in collaboration with various institutions and businesses across sectors such as finance, public services, and healthcare.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly promote the issuance of digital IDs for companion animals provided by Wooyeon Company, utilizing RaonSecure’s "OmniOne Digital ID." In addition, they will offer a variety of companion animal-related badges through the "OmniOne Badge" service.

Furthermore, companion animals and their guardians will be able to access a range of services using these digital authentication tools, including entry to pet playgrounds operated by 17 local governments nationwide, subscription services for pet-related products, and benefits such as pet insurance enrollment.

"OmniOne Digital ID" is a blockchain-based integrated identity and qualification authentication platform developed by RaonSecure. Provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), it enables the issuance of digital identities and credentials without the need for separate system construction. The platform is currently being used by various educational and public institutions for purposes such as university student IDs, ISIC international student cards, martial arts certification, and association-issued private certificates. Its scope is also expanding to include DID-based medical professional ID issuance projects.

"OmniOne Badge" utilizes blockchain technology, which is highly resistant to forgery and alteration, to provide highly reliable digital credential verification. The service is expanding its market share through numerous projects, including university admission and degree certificates, AI private certifications, and e-portfolios.

Jongmoon Park, Head of Service Business Division at RaonSecure, stated, "Through this agreement with Wooyeon Company, we have expanded the scope of our blockchain-based digital ID technology beyond humans to include identity verification for animals. We will continue to expand the digital ID-based ecosystem and lead innovation in authentication and credential verification across society."
