"Regime, Generational, and Era Change All at Once"
"Yoon Has Disappointed the Public"
Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, commented on the ongoing unification conflict within the People Power Party, stating, "To put it bluntly, didn't it all start with a brawl?"
Appearing on CBS Radio's "Kim Hyunjung's News Show" on May 12, Lee mentioned Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, saying, "Although his political orientation is very different from mine, he was elected without any procedural problems," and made the above remarks. He continued, "The most regrettable aspect of the People Power Party's culture is that perpetrators often engage in secondary victimization against the victims. The so-called 'lack of manners' theory and the rumors about Lee Junseok were all baseless."

He said, "Since this is an election being held after the imposition of martial law, many people are talking about 'regime change.' While Lee Jaemyung of the Democratic Party could also be a means of achieving regime change, I, Lee Junseok, can also be a clear agent of regime change. I have consistently criticized the Yoon Sukyeol administration when it has gone wrong, and in the last general election, I was elected in Dongtan under that banner." He added, "If you vote for Lee Junseok, you can achieve not only regime change but also a generational and era shift all at once. I would appreciate it if people would consider that I can achieve more value than Lee, who is somewhat radical and excessive."
Regarding the view that he is running for president simply to gain political experience, Lee said, "Just because someone is older does not mean they achieve better results. Above all, former President Yoon Sukyeol became president in his mid-60s, and what he has shown so far has been, frankly, anachronistic and, in some ways, disappointing to the public." He continued, "So, should we raise the age by choosing Kim Moonsoo of the People Power Party as the presidential candidate? No, we should lower it. That is why the choice is Lee Junseok," he emphasized.
When asked whether he thinks he can overtake Lee in approval ratings, he replied, "I can show better results than Lee in every aspect, and fundamentally, I am younger. I believe I have a better understanding of science and technology," adding, "From the perspective of legal risks, I have never been indicted, so I have an advantage both in terms of morality and competence." He continued, "For those who want to check Lee's dominance, I hope you will see that Lee Junseok is the only choice, and if you do, there will be significant change in the dynamic landscape of Korean politics."
