"Strengthening Collaboration with Korean Companies"
Epson Korea, an office printing and manufacturing company, has appointed Jun Morofushi as its new CEO.
Born in 1975, Jun Morofushi graduated from the Department of Economics at Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Epson Sales in 1998. Over more than 25 years, he has worked in the printer division, overseeing sales and marketing at the company's headquarters in Japan, as well as at major global branches in Europe and the United States. He has contributed to strengthening Epson's competitiveness in both the home and industrial printing markets.
In particular, he was responsible for business planning for business inkjet printers and for 'PaperLab,' the world's first paper upcycling system launched in Japan in 2017. He has focused on realizing sustainable management based on environmental technology. Later, he served as Director of Printer and Projector Product Sales Promotion at Epson America, and upon returning to the headquarters' marketing department, he oversaw corporate communications. Last year, he led business expansion as Global Marketing Manager for the Orient brand mechanical wristwatches developed by Seiko Epson.
Epson stated that with the appointment of Jun Morofushi, a global sales and marketing veteran, as the new CEO, the company will establish business strategies optimized for the Korean market and further accelerate customer-centric innovation.
Morofushi said, "Epson is conducting its global business based on the corporate purpose of 'enriching people and the planet through the value created by high efficiency, compactness, and precision technology.' Going forward, we will actively support Korean customers, especially companies in the commercial and industrial sectors, so that they can expand into the Japanese and global markets, and we will grow together."
He added, "As Korean customers have a high level of interest in and commitment to ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management, we will expand the adoption of eco-friendly solutions and ESG campaigns, and strengthen collaboration with Korean companies that value environmental sustainability."
