Launch of Project to Foster Local Human Resources and
Support Activation of Small-Scale Communities and Clubs
Hamyang County announced on May 12 that it will launch the County Capacity Building Project, organized by Hamyang County and operated by the Hamyang County Village Development Support Center, for seven months from May to November.
This project is being implemented with a budget of 234 million KRW, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Gyeongsangnam-do, and covers four areas: revitalization of completed rural development zones, fostering local human resources, activation of small-scale communities, and operation of a dedicated village development institution.
This year, as the first initiative, a facilitator training course will be held from May 10 to July 3 for 16 field activists to foster local human resources. Starting from May 12, community activation projects will also be carried out in parallel for 10 completed zone clubs and 10 small-scale community organizations.
Hamyang County plans to actively utilize this project to revitalize the local atmosphere, which has been shrinking due to depopulation and aging, and to create a sustainable rural area. The county also urged many residents to actively participate in the programs designed to promote community activation and foster human resources in the region.
