Police Apply for Arrest Warrants for Four Daejinyeon Members Over 'Supreme Court Protest'

Attempt to Enter While Chanting "Cho Hee-dae Must Resign"

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul applied for arrest warrants on May 9 for four members of the Korean University Students Progressive Union (Daejinyeon) who attempted to enter the Supreme Court.

According to the police, at around 1:00 p.m. on May 9, these individuals tried to enter the Supreme Court building in Seocho District, shouting slogans such as "Cho Hee-dae must resign" in front of the first floor of the courthouse.


Daejinyeon criticized the police for requesting arrest warrants, arguing that it was unreasonable because the police already knew the students' names, addresses, and schools, so there was no risk of flight or evidence destruction.
