Korea Foodservice Industry Association: "A Candidate with Real Solutions for the Future"
About 90 solar power operators from Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, affiliated with the Korea Solar Power Operators Association and the National Solar Power Operators Association, held a press conference on the 10th at the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Election Office to declare their support for candidate Lee Jae Myung. With the presidential election scheduled for June 3, a series of public declarations of support for Democratic Party of Korea candidate Lee Jae Myung are taking place in Gwangju.
On May 10, about 90 solar power operators from Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, affiliated with the Korea Solar Power Operators Association (President Kwak Youngju) and the National Solar Power Operators Association (President Kim Myongryong), held a press conference at the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Election Office to declare their support for candidate Lee Jae Myung.
During the press conference, they stated, "Only the prepared candidate Lee Jae Myung can resolve the climate crisis we are facing and realize a carbon-neutral society," and added, "With overwhelming support, we will actively work to bring together all sunlight and wind to secure victory."
The declaration of support was attended by Yang Bunam, Chief Standing Chairperson of the Gwangju Election Committee, Jeon Jinsook and Yang Yi Won Young, Co-Chairs of the Central Party's Climate Crisis Response Committee, Kwak Youngju, President of the Korea Solar Power Operators Association, and about 90 representatives of solar power operators.
In their statement, they expressed their anger, saying, "Over the past three years, an incompetent, lawless, and irresponsible administration has mocked and oppressed solar power operators, treating us as if we were criminals and branding us as part of a cartel to persecute us." They continued, "With the belief that producing electricity, the rice of industry, using the gifts of sunlight and wind will be respected, all our members actively support candidate Lee Jae Myung," and pledged, "We will take the lead in creating the 'real Republic of Korea.'"
Kwak Youngju, President of the Korea Solar Power Operators Association, emphasized, "Renewable energy is both an opportunity and the future of our economy," and stated, "We must restore the ecosystem through priority purchasing and grid access for renewable energy, build a true energy expressway utilizing the nation's expressways, and create a future carbon-neutral society." He also called, "Let us unite the support of about 90 solar power operators and their families from Jeonnam, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk to secure an overwhelming victory for candidate Lee Jae Myung."
About 20 officials from the Gwangju branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association declared their support for candidate Lee Jae Myung at the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Election Office on the 10th. Provided by the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju.
The Gwangju branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association (Branch President Lee Eunhaeng) also held a declaration of support for candidate Lee Jae Myung at the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Election Office on the same day, vowing overwhelming support by stating, "Only candidate Lee Jae Myung can revive the livelihoods of the people of Korea that have collapsed."
The declaration was attended by Yang Bunam, Chief Standing Chairperson of the Gwangju Election Committee, Min Hyungbae, Standing Chairperson of the Gwangju Election Committee, and National Assembly member Jung Sungho. Participants included Lee Eunhaeng, President of the Gwangju branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, Hong Soonhak, President of the Dong-gu branch, Kim Junggyun, President of the Seo-gu branch, Lee Kangkeun, President of the Nam-gu branch, Yang Taechul, President of the Buk-gu branch, Park Jaei, President of the Gwangsan-gu branch, and Yeom Cheolseung, Secretary General of the Gwangju branch, as well as about 20 others who declared their support.
Lee Eunhaeng, President of the Gwangju branch, stated, "Under the previous Yoon Suk Yeol administration, the economy plummeted and the country fell into crisis," and added, "All our members actively support candidate Lee Jae Myung with the belief that he will correct unfairness and polarization."
He also appealed, "We will gather the support of the 15,000 members and their families of the Gwangju branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association," and urged, "Let us secure an overwhelming victory for candidate Lee Jae Myung for Korea to leap forward as an advanced nation."
