The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that at 2:59:25 p.m. on May 10, 2025, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 occurred 4 kilometers north-northeast of Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province.
The epicenter was located at latitude 38.13 degrees north and longitude 127.09 degrees east, with a depth of 8 kilometers.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated that "no damage from the earthquake is expected."
Earlier, at approximately 1:19 p.m., an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred 5 kilometers north-northeast of Yeoncheon County. The depth of the epicenter was 9 kilometers.
Within 10 minutes of the first earthquake on the same day, a total of 12 reports of shaking were received: 3 each from Seoul and Incheon, and 6 from Gyeonggi Province. No reports of direct damage were filed.
