Lee Jae Myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Gaya Market in Haman, Gyeongnam on the morning of May 10, 2025, as part of his listening tour through the neighborhoods of the Yeongnam Silla Belt.
After meeting merchants and supporters throughout the market, Lee delivered an impromptu speech.
Present at the event were lawmakers Lee Unju, Min Hongcheol, and Heo Seongmu, along with Song Sunho, the provincial party chair, and Woo Seoyoung, the provincial party spokesperson.

Lee stated, "The true owners of the Republic of Korea are the people," adding, "We are not electing rulers or kings, but rather faithful servants of the people."
He went on to appeal for support, saying, "Let us elect faithful and competent servants and create a true Republic of Korea together."
