This figure surpasses the average pass rate of 77.35% announced by the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education for the first 2025 exam.

One youth who passed the high school qualification exam said, "After leaving school, I enjoyed the freedom of not being bound by a timetable, but I also struggled with how to organize my daily life. Taking the qualification exam classes at the Out-of-School Youth Support Center helped me create my own schedule, which gradually led to an interest in studying."

The Out-of-School Youth Support Center operates a variety of programs, including qualification exam preparation classes and college entrance briefings, to support successful exam results and academic reintegration. Every year, the center conducts demand surveys to design programs tailored to the characteristics of out-of-school youth in the area.

In particular, last year, Yangsan City recorded a total of 313 students who dropped out of school: 145 high school students, 68 middle school students, and 100 elementary school students (according to School Information and Yangsan Office of Education data). Over the past three years, this number has continued to rise. In response, the Yangsan City Out-of-School Youth Support Center is focusing its efforts on academic and career guidance to actively address this trend.
