Members of the Korean University Students Progressive Union (KUSPU) were arrested as they staged a surprise protest at the Supreme Court, calling for the resignation of Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae.
The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on May 9 that it had arrested four KUSPU members on charges of trespassing in a public building.
At around 1:00 p.m. that day, the individuals attempted to enter the Supreme Court building in Seocho-gu while chanting slogans such as "Cho Hee-dae, resign!" in front of the first floor of the courthouse.
The police plan to investigate the details of the incident further.
