Actor Kim Soohyun and his agency, Gold Medalist, have filed an additional complaint against Kim Seui, the operator of the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (hereinafter referred to as "Gaseyeon"), on charges of defamation and stalking. The complaint also includes the family of the late Kim Saeron.
LKB & Partners, the law firm representing Kim Soohyun, announced on May 9 that they have filed criminal complaints against Kim Seui for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and the Anti-Stalking Act, and against the family of Kim Saeron for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
Previously, on May 7, Kim Seui claimed at a press conference that "Kim Soohyun and Kim Saeron had been in a relationship since middle school, and Kim Saeron had her first sexual experience during the winter vacation of her second year in middle school." He further alleged, "There is an audio recording to prove this, and Kim Soohyun's side offered the informant 4 billion KRW to obtain the file. When the offer was refused, they allegedly sent a killer to murder the informant."
He also stated, "Five days before the incident, Korean and Chinese killers entered the country through JFK Airport in New York. The FBI is currently investigating, and the informant was stabbed nine times." In addition, he claimed that Kim Soohyun's legal representatives visited the informant's home or attempted to persuade the informant.
In response, Kim Soohyun's side stated, "These remarks are blatantly false and cannot be accepted by any reasonable standard." They added, "Kim Seui spread groundless allegations based on forged audio recordings and photos downloaded from the internet, which constitutes a very serious criminal act."
