Millie's Library Raises New Subscription Fee to 11,900 Won... Existing Subscribers Unaffected Millie's Library

The subscription fee for new members will increase from the previous 9,900 won per month to 11,900 won. The annual subscription fee will rise from 99,000 won to 119,000 won. However, existing users will be able to continue using the service at the current price without any increase.

This is the first price adjustment since the service launched in 2017. Millie's Library stated that it will use the additional revenue to strengthen its content acquisition and make focused investments in upgrading its IT infrastructure.

The company will particularly enhance its web novel and webtoon offerings. Through 'Millie Story,' web novels will be introduced sequentially starting in June, and webtoons will follow from September. In collaboration with major domestic genre publishers, the company plans to offer more than 10,000 story content titles by the end of this year.

AI-based personalized services will also be strengthened. The company will further develop 'AI Dokpaming,' a conversational AI reading mate that provides book recommendations, in-text search, and automated reading records. This will enhance features such as automatic linking to original pages in response to user questions and generating reading records based on conversation content.

Park Junghyun, Head of Subscription Business at KT Millie's Library, said, "For the first time since the launch of our service, we have increased the subscription fee to provide a wider range of content and a more immersive reading experience," adding, "We will continue to strengthen tangible benefits that subscribers can truly feel by expanding our content offerings and enhancing the overall reading experience."
