Hansung Cleantech, a company specializing in industrial water treatment infrastructure, announced on May 9 that it has secured a new order worth approximately 2.6 billion KRW for high-purity water facilities in the energy generation sector.
The order involves a contract for the design, supply of materials, and installation of facilities that produce high-purity water, commissioned by Seoul Energy Corporation. Hansung Cleantech plans to design and construct facilities that will produce high-purity steam water required for turbine operations at the combined heat and power plant operated by the Dongbu branch of Seoul Energy Corporation.
This order is significant as it marks Hansung Cleantech’s successful expansion of its water treatment technology into the public power generation sector, beyond its existing ultrapure water EPC business focused on the advanced electronics industry. In particular, since high-purity water required by combined heat and power plants demands high water quality stability and precise design, this case is seen as further proof of Hansung Cleantech’s technological competitiveness.
A company representative stated, "Recently, the demand for high-purity water treatment has been increasing amid the transition to eco-friendly power generation," and added, "Starting with this project, we plan to expand our application area into the industrial water EPC sector required for energy generation."
