On the morning of May 8, Choi Hokwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the Parents' Day ceremony titled "Healthy Hyo, Happy Hyo" held at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall, where he expressed his gratitude to the senior citizens in attendance.
This event was organized by the "Yeongdeungpo-type Integrated Care Network," with the participation of seven local institutions that provide and cooperate in customized senior care services. Approximately 280 people, including local seniors and life support workers, attended the event.
On this day, Mayor Choi Hokwon showed his respect and appreciation by pinning carnations on the seniors and presented certificates of commendation to 28 residents who have practiced filial piety and contributed to the advancement of senior welfare.
Mayor Choi Hokwon stated, "On Parents' Day, I sincerely thank mothers and fathers for their immense grace," and added, "I will continue to do my utmost to ensure that seniors can enjoy a comfortable and healthy retirement, striving to make Yeongdeungpo the leading district for senior welfare and filial piety."
