Acting President Lee Juho to Meet Policy Coordination Chief and Acting Finance Minister Tomorrow to Discuss Supplementary Budget Execution

Urging Response to Changes in Trade Environment and Geopolitical Risks

President Acting Lee Juho, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, will meet with Bang Kisun, Minister for Government Policy Coordination, and Kim Beomseok, First Vice Minister acting as Minister of Economy and Finance, on the morning of May 9 to discuss recent key state affairs, according to the Ministry of Education on May 8.

During the meeting, Acting President Lee is expected to call for the swift execution of the 2025 supplementary budget to boost the economy and stabilize people's livelihoods. This year's supplementary budget, amounting to approximately 13.8 trillion won, passed the National Assembly plenary session on May 1 and was approved as originally proposed at the Cabinet meeting presided over by Acting President Lee on May 2.

In addition, Acting President Lee plans to urge steadfast governance in response to recent changes in the trade environment and geopolitical risks involving countries such as India and Pakistan.
