Prior to the opening ceremony, Chairman Gwak Jongpo met with Yangsan athletes who were busy training and preparing throughout the stadium, shaking hands with each of them and delivering messages of support.
The opening ceremony began with the introduction of distinguished guests, followed by the entrance of teams from each city and county, the official declaration of the opening, congratulatory remarks, and the lighting of the torch, all conducted in a lively manner.
This event is being held over two days, from May 8 to May 9, throughout Jinju City, with Yangsan City fielding 219 athletes competing in 18 events.
