Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province (Mayor Chung Kimyung) announced on May 8 that it held the "Clean Day" campaign in collaboration with the Public Officials Labor Union at the City Hall Cultural Hall on the afternoon of May 7.

On this day, Mayor Chung Kimyung, along with senior officials and executives of the Public Officials Labor Union, pledged to foster a culture of integrity in public service that values mutual consideration and respect, by chanting the slogan, "An honest me, an honest Yeosu, I will take the lead in practicing integrity."
The Public Officials Labor Union took the lead in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption, called for trust-based administration rooted in communication and empathy, and distributed promotional items containing messages of integrity.
Mayor Chung emphasized, "Integrity is a fundamental virtue for public officials, and only when the will to practice it is united among each individual can it take deep root throughout the public sector. I hope that every public official will do their utmost to create a trustworthy and honest Yeosu for the citizens."
Meanwhile, Yeosu City is striving to enhance and improve public officials' awareness of integrity through various initiatives, including education on the code of conduct for public officials, morning broadcasts on integrity, integrity culture concerts, and the operation of the mutually respectful "Clean Day."
