Dankook University Signs Agreement with Korea East-West Power and NX to Establish Energy Efficiency Ecosystem

On May 8, Dankook University signed an agreement with Korea East-West Power and NX to establish an ecosystem for energy efficiency innovation and related initiatives.

The signing ceremony was attended by President Ahn Sooncheol, Korea East-West Power President Kwon Myeongho, and NX CEO Nam Juhyun.

Under the agreement, Dankook University will install smart energy devices in more than 20 buildings on its Cheonan campus. Korea East-West Power's Energy Integrated Management (MSP) Center will monitor electricity usage in real time, analyze usage patterns, and implement an optimal system for automated control.

Additionally, the parties will jointly promote the advancement of energy efficiency management systems, the development of energy efficiency policies, and related research.

President Ahn Sooncheol stated, "Dankook University is emerging as a university that contributes to the creation of a green campus and the transition to a carbon-neutral society, as demonstrated by our declaration to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This agreement is not only about improving campus energy efficiency, but also marks the first step toward a sustainable future."
