Jeonju University Business School Hosts Special Lecture by Na Kyunggyun, President of Saemangeum Development Corporation

The Department of Real Estate and Land Information at Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) invited Na Kyunggyun, President of Saemangeum Development Corporation, to deliver a special lecture on May 7.

According to Jeonju University on May 8, this special lecture was organized as part of the "Public Enterprise Employment Preparation Class" program, which is operated by the Department of Real Estate and Land Information. The purpose of the program is to practically support students who aspire to work at public enterprises by strengthening their practical skills and helping them set their career paths.

President Na delivered a lecture on the topic "Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, and Saemangeum Preparing for the Next Millennium." In particular, he provided an in-depth explanation based on his extensive field experience, covering the policy background and spatial strategies of the Saemangeum development, the key roles that public enterprises play in regional development, and the core competencies required of future talents.

President Na emphasized to the younger generation the importance of a challenging spirit and visionary mindset, stating, "Balanced development and a sustainable future for Korea will be achieved through the challenging spirit and creative imagination of those of you here today."

In his welcoming remarks, President Park Jinbae said, "It is a very meaningful opportunity for our students to host President Na Kyunggyun of Saemangeum Development Corporation, who is designing Korea's future at the forefront of national land development." He added, "I hope that through this special lecture, students will gain a clearer understanding of how their majors and dreams connect to national agendas, and that this will serve as an opportunity for them to envision their own futures."

The students in attendance responded that hearing vivid examples of national development projects and the practical processes of public enterprises, which are rarely accessible, was very helpful for their career exploration. They also welcomed the opportunity to gain concrete information on practical recruitment strategies, understanding organizational culture, and talent selection criteria.

Meanwhile, the Department of Real Estate and Land Information at Jeonju University (supervising professor Lim Mihwa) plans to continue hosting special lectures and mentoring sessions by inviting experts and practitioners from various fields in the future.

In addition, the department will go beyond theoretical education to connect students with field training, providing tailored support to strengthen their competitiveness for employment at public enterprises so that they can be immediately ready for practical work after graduation.
