On this day, representatives from the Gangjin County Volunteer Disaster Prevention Corps, the 2nd Battalion of Unit 8539, Gangjin Police Station, Gangjin Office of Education, Gangjin Fire Station, Wolchulsan National Park Office, Gangjin Branch of Korea Electric Power Corporation, Gangjin Branch of Korea Rural Community Corporation, Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation, and Jeonnam Southern Branch of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation attended the meeting. They established a system for cooperation and collaboration among the related agencies in the county.

During the meeting, each agency and relevant department presented their response plans, followed by an in-depth discussion focused on effectiveness. In particular, it was decided to further strengthen the emergency response system in the event of a disaster, and to organize a structure that enables immediate response to any situation by ensuring close cooperation between related agencies and departments.

With the Gangjin County Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters at the center, a 24-hour emergency response system will be maintained. As localized extreme heavy rains and super typhoons have become more frequent due to recent abnormal weather patterns, Gangjin County has announced its policy to minimize damage through preemptive inspections and disaster response centered on cooperation with related agencies, local volunteer organizations, and residents.

Kang Jinwon, head of the Gangjin County Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, stated, "Since there was significant damage caused by heavy rainfall last year, we will focus all efforts on thorough preparation in advance and swift response in the event of damage. In particular, for summer natural disasters that are difficult to predict due to abnormal weather, we must establish an all-encompassing response system and take preemptive action to protect the lives and property of our residents." He also requested, "Please concentrate administrative efforts on preemptive measures to reduce recurring localized disasters such as flooding and landslides every year."
