Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital successfully held the '2025 Love Sharing Filial Piety Festival' at the Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the Grand Mercure Ambassador Changwon Hotel.
The event, which took place on the afternoon of May 7, was organized in celebration of Parents' Day to express respect and gratitude to the elderly. Over 500 senior citizens from vulnerable groups and those living alone in the region were invited, including participants from Uichang and Seongsan District Offices of Changwon City, the Changwon branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, and local day-care centers for the elderly. The event provided a warm meal and cultural performances for the guests.
Before the event, each guest was presented with a carnation brooch as a gesture of respect. The program continued with a hotel buffet meal and talent donation performances. Various acts, including folk songs, saxophone performances, magic shows, and traditional dances, were held and received enthusiastic responses from the elderly guests. Commemorative gifts were also given to all participants.
Choi Kyunghwa, Chairperson of Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital, said, "We organized this event to express our respect to the elderly who have dedicated their lives to their families and the community," adding, "We will continue to practice warm-hearted healthcare together with the local community."
Meanwhile, on May 9, a separate filial piety festival for around 500 seniors from the Dounuri Daycare Center will be held at the same venue. Volunteers from the Hanmaeum Housewives' College at Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital will participate to create a heartfelt and grateful occasion.
