E-Land Group Provides 850 Million Won in Aid to Wildfire-Affected Families in Yeongnam Region

Donations and Fundraising Campaigns Conducted Through In-House Brands

E-Land Group Provides 850 Million Won in Aid to Wildfire-Affected Families in Yeongnam Region

On May 8, E-Land Group announced that it had completed support totaling 850 million won to assist families in crisis affected by wildfires in the North Gyeongsang region.

For this wildfire relief effort, E-Land Group conducted both product donations through its owned brands and a fundraising campaign. Through two rounds, the company donated clothing and daily necessities worth a total of 730 million won via major brands such as SPAO, New Balance, and New Balance Kids.

The donated items were delivered sequentially to the affected areas in cooperation with emergency relief organizations, including the North Gyeongsang branch of the Korean Red Cross, through the E-Land Welfare Foundation.

The E-Land Welfare Foundation organized a "Wildfire Crisis Family Support Fundraising Campaign" from March 28 to April 22, spanning 26 days. Through participation from E-Land employees, the general public, and religious communities, a total of 120 million won was raised. This amount included a 50 million won donation from the Seoul E-Land FC players and administrative staff. The entire amount raised was used to support families in crisis affected by the wildfires, with no deductions for operating expenses.

The E-Land Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with its SOS Wego volunteer group, local partner organizations, and churches, conducted rapid on-site assessments. They identified 22 families in crisis who were not receiving government welfare support and provided them with tailored assistance. Depending on each family's situation, support included living expenses, medical expenses, housing assistance, self-reliance grants, and emergency supplies.

A representative from the E-Land Welfare Foundation stated, "In unexpected disaster situations, swift and practical support is the most important," and added, "We will continue to strengthen support for families in crisis who are in welfare blind spots, and, together with E-Land Group, we will consistently fulfill our social responsibility."

E-Land Group plans to use this wildfire relief effort as an opportunity to further systematize its social contribution activities, with a focus on its in-house social contribution organization.
