Damyang County (Governor Jung Chulwon) announced on May 7 that it held the "3rd Dambit Youth Dance Festival with Children" on the main stage of the 24th Damyang Bamboo Festival, which coincided with Children's Day on the 5th.
The event featured a variety of programs, including the Bebepin Happy Concert to celebrate Children's Day, an awards ceremony for exemplary children and contributors, a national youth dance competition, and a performance by Funky Locals, all of which were well received by the audience.
In the morning, the Bebepin Happy Concert and a photo session for children and families took place, drawing a steady stream of visitors to the venue. During the subsequent awards ceremony, 17 exemplary children and contributors from the county were honored.
In the afternoon, a dance competition featuring 12 youth teams from across the country was held. The passionate performances by youth dancers from various regions, including Seoul and Busan, along with a congratulatory performance by Funky Locals, who also served as judges, heightened the excitement at the event.
Despite the inclement weather, many spectators stayed until the end to cheer on the youth performers. The grand prize went to the "NO LIP" team, and a total of 12 teams were recognized as winners.
Governor Jung Chulwon stated, "This year, with the youth dance festival and Children's Day event being held together, there was even greater participation from families. We will continue to create better environments so that young people and children can freely pursue their dreams."
