The 3rd Gyeongnam Nonghyup Headquarters Senior Park Golf Tournament Held

The 3rd Gyeongnam Nonghyup Headquarters Senior Park Golf Tournament, hosted by Gyeongnam Nonghyup and organized by the Gyeongnam Provincial Association of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, was held on May 7 at the Dream Park Golf Course in Daesan-myeon, Changwon.

Gyeongnam Nonghyup had previously held the Gateball Tournament in partnership with the Gyeongnam Provincial Association of the Korean Senior Citizens Association for 13 years since 2008. Since 2023, the organization has been hosting the Gyeongnam Nonghyup Headquarters Senior Park Golf Tournament, making this year the third edition.

This year's tournament featured 280 players from 20 branches registered with the Gyeongnam Provincial Association of the Korean Senior Citizens Association. The participants were divided into a total of 72 men's and women's groups. Awards were given for both individual and team categories, and the branches that received team awards earned the right to participate in the 3rd Presidential Cup National Senior Park Golf Tournament.

Ryu Gilnyeon, the head of the headquarters, stated, "Park golf is an attractive sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and it is a beneficial activity that helps our seniors lead healthy lives in their later years. Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to support the health and vibrant lives of local seniors."

Shin Heebeom, president of the association, expressed gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank Gyeongnam Nonghyup for its unwavering support for the healthy lives of our residents, in collaboration with the Korean Senior Citizens Association. I hope today's tournament will serve as a venue for communication and harmony between generations and within the community."
