This support was made possible through the compassion of Abbot Seok Doan, who has continued the legacy of the late Great Monk Seok Jeonggak, who entered nirvana in July last year and was known for his love of his hometown and dedication to nurturing talent. This warm act of sharing has now continued for six consecutive years.

Kim Jiyeol, head of Unnam-myeon, stated, "These scholarships and sponsorship funds will serve as a strong foundation for the growth of our local youth. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering affection and generosity that Great Monk Seok Jeonggak and Abbot Seok Doan have shown toward their hometown."

Meanwhile, Bohyeonjeongsa Temple has consistently carried out various support activities for the socially disadvantaged through the Jeonggak Sharing Association and scholarship foundation. In particular, the temple provides scholarships every year to students in need within the local community.
