Yeosu City to Offer Customized College Admissions Consulting for 11th Graders

to Begin at Happy Education Support Center
on May 24 at 10:00 a.m.

Yeosu City (Mayor Chung Kimyung) announced on May 7 that it will launch a customized one-on-one college admissions consulting program for local 11th-grade students and their parents at the Happy Education Support Center on May 24.

This consulting program has been prepared to provide information on how to write the school life record, which has become increasingly important under the revised curriculum, and to enhance each student's college preparation capabilities with realistic guidance on career and admissions paths. The consulting sessions will be held in five time slots: 10:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., with each session lasting one hour.

Up to 10 participants will be accepted per session, and parents may accompany their children. Students wishing to participate can apply through the Yeosu Happy Education Support Center website starting May 8. For further details, inquiries can be directed to the Lifelong Education Division at Yeosu City Hall.

A city official stated, "This program has been prepared to help local students, who are concerned about the changing college admissions system, assess their current standing and receive the latest admissions information tailored to the evolving admissions environment," adding, "We will continue to provide a variety of information regarding college admissions in the future."

Meanwhile, the Yeosu Happy Education Support Center is operating a range of programs that reflect the latest educational trends, including grade- and period-specific college admissions consulting, mentoring from current university students, admissions briefings by academic track, special lectures on student records and study methods, special lectures on the high school credit system, and university exploration camps.
