Yeongju City Recruiting Companies for Industrial Safety Environment Improvement Project

Support for Precision Safety Inspections and Workplace Environment Improvements
for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

Starting from May 7, Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province is recruiting companies to participate in the "2025 Industrial Safety Environment Improvement Project" until May 16. The project aims to prevent industrial accidents and create a safe working environment for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This project provides precise safety inspections and technical support in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act for local SMEs. Based on these inspections, the project seeks to prevent industrial accidents in advance by improving facilities and installing safety prevention equipment.

Jointly promoted by Yeongju City and the Gyeongbuk Employers Federation, the project will run from June to December. Each selected SME will receive support worth a total of 20 million won, including 2 million won for a precise industrial safety inspection and up to 18 million won for environmental improvements (including a 4 million won self-contribution).

Companies wishing to participate must submit an application form and related documents to the Yeongju City Hall Business Support Office by May 16. The application form and detailed information can be found in the announcement on the Yeongju City Hall website.

Kim Myungja, head of the Business Support Office, stated, "Preventing safety accidents in the workplace is not a choice but a necessity," and added, "We hope this project will provide practical support to enhance companies' safety management capabilities and improve productivity."
