Recruitment of Participants for the 3rd Daejeon Blues Original Song Contest

Applications open until June 5 for the theme of 'Daejeon Metropolitan City'

The Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency's Daejeon Music Creation Center announced that it will be accepting applications for participants in the 2025 Daejeon Blues Original Song Contest until June 5.

Now in its third year, the Daejeon Blues Original Song Contest will be held in conjunction with the 'Daejeon 0 O'Clock Festival'.

Participants are free to create original popular music on the theme of 'Daejeon Metropolitan City' without any genre restrictions. Regardless of place of residence, each team (or individual) may submit only one song.

The total prize pool is 14 million won, with the grand prize winner receiving 5 million won, the excellence award 3 million won, three merit awards of 1.5 million won each, and three encouragement awards of 500,000 won each. In addition to the prize money, winners will also receive promotional benefits to support their future music activities.

The final eight teams selected for the finals will compete on the main stage of the 'Daejeon 0 O'Clock Festival'.

Lee Eunhak, Director of the Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, said, "This year, we plan to present a unique original song contest that actively utilizes video content from the preliminary rounds to communicate with the public," and added, "Any musician who wants to express Daejeon through music is welcome to participate."
