Take Photos of the Moon, Nebulae, and Galaxies with a Smart Telescope
First Session on May 9... Printed Photos Provided as Souvenirs
On May 7, the National Gwangju Science Museum announced the launch of a nighttime observation program called "Starry Night Photography," where citizens can personally take astronomical photographs using a smart telescope.
The museum will hold the first session of the program at the Starlight Observatory on May 9. After a brief training, participants will operate the telescope themselves to photograph celestial objects of their choice, such as the Moon, nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies. The telescope used in the program is a smart device equipped with automatic tracking, making it easy for beginners to use.

The astronomical photos taken by participants will be printed and given as souvenirs. The museum plans to run this program regularly every month, alongside its existing large telescope observation program, "Starlight School." The annual schedule for the 2025 astronomy education programs can be found on the museum's website.
