Ottogi announced on May 7 that it will launch "Ramenui Maepssody."
"Ramenui Maepssody" features a beef broth base enhanced with a variety of chili peppers and spices, boasting a Scoville rating of 6,000 SHU, which is spicier than the company's own "Yeolramyeon." The product distinguishes itself from other spicy ramyeon by delivering a clean initial taste followed by an unexpectedly intense spiciness. "Maepssody" is a compound word combining "maepda" (meaning spicy) and "rhapsody," signifying a new narrative in the world of spicy ramyeon.
Ottogi plans to continue expanding its presence in the spicy ramyeon market through "Ramenui Maepssody." The product will be available for purchase on Coupang, with pre-orders being accepted until May 11.
An Ottogi representative stated, "We are introducing Ramenui Maepssody, an even bolder spicy ramyeon than our signature Yeolramyeon, for consumers who enjoy spicy ramyeon. We will continue our efforts to offer a variety of spicy products that many consumers can enjoy in the future."
