Hyunseop Jeong, Mayor of Jinhae District in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, visited three major temples within the district in succession on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday in the Buddhist Era 2569. He attended the Buddhist ceremonies and spent time communicating with local residents.

The visits, which took place on May 5, were organized to commemorate Buddha's Birthday, reflect on the compassion and wisdom of Buddha, and pray for harmony in the local community as well as the well-being of residents.

On this day, Mayor Jeong attended the Buddhist ceremonies at each temple, celebrated Buddha's Birthday together, and exchanged warm greetings with temple officials and devotees.

Mayor Jeong stated, "Just as Buddha taught us, I hope the spirit of caring for our neighbors and practicing sharing will spread throughout our community," adding, "I will continue to do my best to communicate closely with residents and to build a warm and caring community."
