The "19th Goryeong County Hope Sprout Grand Festival," commemorating the 103rd Children's Day and hosted by Goryeong County and organized by the Goryeong Junior Chamber (President Son Hyun), was held on May 5 at the Daegaya Culture Nuri Outdoor Performance Hall, with approximately 8,000 people in attendance.
This event featured a variety of hands-on activities, performances, and food booths for children and families, creating a vibrant Children's Day celebration with enthusiastic participation from the local community.
The festival began with a pre-ceremony performance by the Goryeong County Boys and Girls Choir and a magic show, followed by the reading of the Children's Rights Charter, awards for exemplary children, and the delivery of congratulatory messages. After the ceremony, recreational activities and a generous prize drawing were held, receiving an enthusiastic response from attendees.

The diverse experience booths also attracted attention. Programs that delighted children's five senses filled the venue, including promotional and experience booths from related organizations such as the police station, fire station, and public health center, as well as caricature drawing, wood toy making, mini Bearbrick keyring making, foil art headband making, balloon art, multicultural costume experiences, and instant photo booths.
The food booths, which offered rice balls, natural handmade jelly, popcorn, and more, added to the enjoyment for families. The "admission ticket refund system" to boost the local economy also stood out. Upon purchasing an admission ticket, visitors received a 3,000-won Goryeong Love Gift Certificate refund, encouraging local spending.
Namchul Lee, the county governor, said, "I hope this event has been a meaningful time that instills dreams and hope in our children," and added, "We will continue to make Goryeong a better place to live so that children can grow up healthier and happier."
