Lee Junseok Says "No Plans to Meet Kim Moonsoo or Han Ducksoo"... Dismisses 'Big-Tent Conservative Coalition' Possibility

"Unnecessary Emotional Strain Is Increasing"

Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, once again drew a clear line on May 6 regarding calls to discuss forming a big-tent coalition within the broader conservative bloc together with candidates Kim Moonsoo and Han Ducksoo, stating, "I have no plans to meet with the two of them."

On the morning of the same day, Lee wrote on his Facebook page, "Reporters keep asking me about Kim Moonsoo and Han Ducksoo, such as whether they have suggested meeting with me," clarifying his position.

He added, "In some cases, because I am busy with the campaign, I cannot answer calls, and later I receive text messages asking if I am hiding something because I did not respond. It seems that unnecessary emotional strain is increasing."

He went on to say, "There is nothing scheduled in terms of meetings, and I ask for your understanding that I will not respond individually regarding whether I will contact or meet with the two of them in the future."

Lee had also dismissed the possibility of unification the previous day, calling it "effectively a second offense against me."
