"Children, Receive Your Gifts" ... Changwon Special City’s Grand Children's Day Festival Draws Great Response

A Festival Full of Colorful Performances and Experiences
Enjoyed by Children and Families Alike

Changwon Special City announced on May 6 that the "Changwon Grand Children's Festival," held at 3·15 Marine Nuri Park to celebrate the 103rd Children's Day, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from children and citizens.

The event, hosted by Changwon Special City and organized by ACT on May 5, began with a commemorative ceremony featuring the reading of the Children's Rights Charter and the presentation of awards to exemplary children and contributors to child welfare. The atmosphere was further enlivened by a talk concert with a popular YouTuber, a recycling band performance, a magic show, a puppet show, and a children's club DJ, among other exciting performances.


Additionally, throughout the venue, a variety of experience booths offered unforgettable memories for visiting children. These included an air sports experience zone, safety education and job experience activities in collaboration with Masan Fire Station, Masan Jungbu Police Station, Changwon Coast Guard, and Korea Expressway Corporation, as well as hands-on activities stimulating all five senses, prepared by child-related facilities and organizations.


The event was filled with laughter and energy as families flocked to the venue.


Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, expressed gratitude to the children and citizens who attended the event to celebrate the 103rd Children's Day. He added, "We prepared a variety of performances and experiences, and I hope these created joyful memories for the children. We will continue to do our best to make Changwon a great city for raising children."


Meanwhile, a variety of events were held throughout Changwon to mark the 103rd Children's Day. Diverse experiences and performances took place at locations such as the Gyeongnam Provincial Government lawn plaza, Sangok Gymnasium, and Changwon Sweet Persimmon Theme Park. The Changwon Cultural Foundation and local businesses also organized special events for Children's Day, providing enjoyable moments for all.
