Over 100,000 Visitors in a Single Day on the 4th
200,000 Visitors in Just Four Days
Suncheonman National Garden once again proved its popularity during the golden holiday week of Family Month, drawing a crowd of 200,000 visitors. In particular, on May 4, the garden welcomed well over 100,000 visitors in a single day, reaffirming its status as a premier national tourist destination.
The surge in visitors and the continued popularity of Suncheonman National Garden during the holiday period can be largely attributed to Suncheon City Hall's SNS new media promotion strategy. Real-time updates on blooming flowers throughout the garden, seasonal themed content, and visually appealing emotional content have successfully resonated with younger visitors in their 20s and 30s, contributing significantly to the garden's appeal.
While the garden's landscape, with its harmonious blend of flowers and trees, attracted many visitors, this holiday period also featured a variety of experiential programs such as Secret Adventure, Children's Zoo, and Therapy Garden, which captivated the attention and interest of guests.
The garden is receiving enthusiastic responses from all generations, from children to adults, demonstrating its role as a space for intergenerational communication and empathy. The increase in visitors has invigorated local businesses, and both Suncheonman National Garden and Suncheonman Reed Field are having a positive impact on the local economy.
On May 5, Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu stated, "As Korea's number one destination for ecological tourism, I hope you will visit Suncheonman National Garden during Family Month in May to recharge your happiness. Whenever you need a pause in life, you can enjoy a relaxing break at Suncheonman Garden and Suncheonman Reed Field, and gain new energy from the garden."
